Having hosted the Winter Olympics twice, Seefeld has a superb ski setup, with modern lifts and well-planned slopes that make it an excellent choice for beginners. A gentle learning area provides the perfect place to build confidence, while a separate mountain offers steeper runs to progress onto as your skills improve. Although the ski area is relatively compact, it's ideal for a first ski holiday. Seefeld is also world-renowned for its cross-country skiing, with an extensive network of beautifully maintained trails that offer the perfect opportunity to try something new.

Larger than many traditional mountain villages, Seefeld offers a wide choice of accommodation, from cosy guesthouses to stylish hotels. Evenings are generally relaxed, with welcoming restaurants and bars providing the perfect setting for a leisurely dinner and drinks. If you're looking for something a little different after dark, you can even try your luck at the local casino.

Away from the slopes, there's plenty to keep you entertained. The Olympiabad leisure centre is a great place to unwind, with its swimming pool, saunas and ice rink. Or, if you fancy a change of scenery, hop on the train to Innsbruck, less than an hour away, and spend the day exploring the historic city and its impressive mountain backdrop.
