Family-run by the welcoming Steiner family, this charming hotel offers a warm atmosphere and an ideal location just a two-minute walk from the centre of Obertauern, with the slopes conveniently located across the road.

After a day on the mountain, unwind in the impressive adults-only spa, featuring a rooftop infinity pool with panoramic views, Finnish and organic saunas, a Roman tepidarium, steam bath, rock crystal grotto and peaceful relaxation area.

Families are exceptionally well catered for, with dedicated spaces designed to keep younger guests entertained while adults enjoy some well-earned relaxation. Children can make the most of the playroom and games room, while older kids will love the youth lounge, complete with a climbing wall, games consoles, air hockey and table football. New for this season, the indoor forest playground offers even more adventure, featuring a wood workshop, indoor mud room and painting studio.

About Obertauern

With ski-in, ski-out convenience and reliable snow from December through to April, Obertauern is a favourite for hassle-free skiing. The slopes are particularly well suited to beginners and intermediates, offering plenty of gentle blue and red runs for relaxed cruising. Families are well catered for too, with highlights including the green Tauern circuit, the magical Fairy Tale Park trail through the forest and the fun-filled Geisterbahn ghost train.

As Austria's only purpose-built ski resort, Obertauern has been designed with skiers in mind. Accommodation stretches along the valley and ranges from modern hotels to traditional timber-clad lodges, while lifts on both sides of the resort make it easy to access the slopes. A free ski bus also runs between the different areas, making getting around simple. When the ski day comes to an end, the lively mountain bars provide the perfect setting for après-ski, with the vibrant Qu-Bar a popular choice for drinks and music.

There's plenty to enjoy beyond the pistes too. For an extra dose of adventure, try snow kiting or snow biking, or slow things down with a mountain yoga session, where you can unwind while soaking up the crisp Alpine air and spectacular surroundings.
