Overview
The Ferienhof is only a small chalet hotel (23 rooms) but it's instantly welcoming and has a distinct Austrian charm. The furniture is solid wood and often so are the walls and ceiling panels, all with beautifully carved, mountain-life inspired details. Between the hotel's bar and small wellness area, you'll find yourself relaxing in no time. The après-ski gets going once the slopes empty and the atmosphere is fun yet laid-back.

About Mayrhofen
Set between two impressive mountains, Mayrhofen is a paradise for intermediate skiers, with an extensive network of linked red and blue runs that make it easy to clock up the miles. To make the most of your lift pass, hop on the ski bus to the nearby Hintertux Glacier, where high-altitude skiing and reliable snow conditions extend the season.
Away from the slopes, Mayrhofen combines traditional Alpine charm with one of Austria's liveliest ski atmospheres. Timber-clad chalets, colourful frescoed buildings and a distinctive onion-domed church give the village plenty of character. Après-ski begins on the mountain, with lively bars filling up from mid-afternoon, before the action continues into the evening with bustling pubs and vibrant nightclubs. If you prefer a quieter end to the day, you'll also find cosy hotel bars and welcoming restaurants serving traditional Austrian hospitality. Accommodation is equally varied, ranging from charming guesthouses to luxurious spa hotels.
There's plenty to enjoy beyond skiing too. Take in the beautiful winter scenery on a horse-drawn sleigh ride, or experience the mountains from a different perspective with a tandem paragliding flight, soaring high above the snow-covered peaks alongside an experienced pilot.
