Overview
The Ski Plaza is a welcoming, family-friendly hotel that offers something for guests of all ages. Adults can unwind after a day on the slopes in the hotel's spa area, where a hydromassage pool, hot tub and sauna provide the perfect place to relax tired muscles (available for an additional local charge). Younger guests are equally well catered for, with a dedicated games room for older children and teenagers, alongside a soft play area where little ones can climb, slide and explore.
Ideally located in the heart of Canillo, the hotel is less than a ten-minute walk from the Grandvalira gondola, making access to the slopes quick and easy each morning. Its traditional stone façade blends seamlessly with the surrounding mountain architecture, while the village's shops, bars and restaurants are all within easy walking distance.
Inside, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, with cosy, wood-panelled interiors and comfortable communal spaces. The bar provides the perfect setting for an après-ski drink or a relaxed evening with family and friends.
Half-board dining is included as standard, with buffet breakfasts and dinners served in La Granja restaurant. Depending on your travel dates, additional board options may also be available, offering greater flexibility throughout your stay. For a more traditional alpine dining experience, La Fonclette serves favourites such as fondue and raclette in a charming setting. As this restaurant is particularly popular, advance booking is recommended.

About Canillo
Canillo offers a peaceful base with direct access to Andorra’s largest connected ski area, making it a great choice for families. An eight-person gondola links the village to the El Forn sector, where beginners and children can learn on wide, gentle slopes. More experienced skiers can quickly reach the neighbouring El Tarter area and explore the extensive network of scenic blue and red runs across the wider Grandvalira domain.
The village is rich in character, with traditional stone buildings and historic mills reflecting its mountain heritage. Dining options are varied and affordable, serving everything from tasty tapas to classic alpine dishes such as fondue. While there are a handful of bars for a relaxed drink after skiing, the atmosphere is family-friendly and much quieter than some of Andorra’s livelier resorts.
Away from the slopes, there are plenty of activities to enjoy. Thrill-seekers can soar above the mountains on one of the longest ziplines in the Pyrenees, while families can head to Mon(t) Magic Family Park for attractions including an alpine coaster, with optional virtual reality goggles adding an extra burst of excitement.
