Overview

Résidence Les Chalets Edelweiss is a ski-in, ski-out residence located in the picturesque village of Plagne 1800, giving direct access to the Paradiski ski area.

The property is arranged in a horseshoe of chalet-style buildings containing around 83 apartments, with a variety of sizes suitable for groups of 4–8 people. Inside, the accommodation is bright, modern and comfortably furnished, and most apartments include a balcony for enjoying the mountain views.

For self-catering stays, a Spar supermarket is conveniently located about 200 metres away, making it easy to stock up on essentials during your holiday.

After skiing, guests can unwind in the heated indoor swimming pool or relax in the communal lounge area, which also offers seating for socialising and a pool table for some après-ski entertainment.

Apartments

All apartments have a kitchenette with hot plates, coffee machine, toaster, kettle and dishwasher, as well as a TV. Most have a balcony or terrace. Bed linen, towels and local taxes are included. Optional extra charge for beds to be made on arrival, and/or end of stay cleaning.

1 bedroom apartment (approx. 30m²) - sleeps 2-4- Double or twin bedroom, living room with double sofa bed, private shower or bath and WC. These apartments may have a sloping ceiling.

1 bedroom apartment (approx. 38m²) - sleeps 2-6- Double or twin bedroom, living room with double sofa bed, alcove with bunk beds, private shower or bath and WC. Some apartments are duplex.

2 bedroom apartment (approx. 40m²) - sleeps 2-6- Double bedroom, twin bedroom, living room with double sofa bed, private shower or bath and WC. Some apartments are duplex.

2 bedroom apartment (approx. 51m²) - sleeps 2-8- Duplex apartment with two double or twin bedrooms, living room with double sofa bed, alcove with single bed or bunk beds, private shower or bath and WC.

Cots and highchairs are available to hire for approx. €25 per week, payable locally. Please request at the time of booking.

Please note: The top bunk is not suitable for children under 6 years.

Reception opens at 3pm. If you arrive before then, you can leave your luggage at the Bobsleigh Bar & Restaurant next door.

About La Plagne

La Plagne is a superb choice for families and anyone looking to build confidence on the slopes, with access to 425km of varied skiing in the Paradiski area. Beginners can progress from gentle nursery slopes to wide, scenic blue runs, including those from Grande Rochette back to Plagne Centre. More experienced skiers can enjoy longer reds towards Champagny-en-Vanoise, while those wanting to explore further can take the double-decker cable car over to Les Arcs for even more terrain.

The resort is made up of several linked villages, each with its own character. Plagne Centre is the original hub, while Plagne Soleil is the newest. Belle Plagne and Plagne 1800 are among the prettiest options, Plagne Villages sits right in the heart of the ski area, and Plagne Aime 2000 offers a quieter, family-friendly base. All villages provide a mix of accommodation, restaurants and easy access to the pistes.

Off the slopes, La Plagne offers plenty of unique experiences. You can race down France’s only Olympic bobsleigh track, take a ziplining adventure across the mountains, or visit the Bellecôte glacier’s ice grotto filled with intricate sculptures carved from snow and ice. For a more relaxed alternative with the same access to the Paradiski area, the nearby village of Montalbert offers a smaller, laid-back atmosphere while still connecting directly into the ski network.
