Overview

Hotel Terra Nova enjoys a prime ski-in, ski-out location in Plagne Centre, right at the foot of 225km of pistes. Guests can step straight onto the chairlift each morning and ski back to the hotel at the end of the day, making it an excellent base for exploring the slopes.

The rooms are simple and comfortable, with every room offering either slope-facing or valley-facing views, providing a scenic backdrop from the moment you wake up.

Meals are served in the hotel's panoramic restaurant, where large windows showcase impressive views of the surrounding mountains and ski runs. Buffet-style dining gives plenty of choice, and evening meals include complimentary wine, making for a relaxed end to the day.

For some post-ski relaxation, guests can unwind in the sauna after time on the mountain. The hotel also has a lively bar featuring daily live music, creating a welcoming atmosphere for après-ski drinks and evening entertainment.

About La Plagne

La Plagne is a superb choice for families and anyone looking to build confidence on the slopes, with access to 425km of varied skiing in the Paradiski area. Beginners can progress from gentle nursery slopes to wide, scenic blue runs, including those from Grande Rochette back to Plagne Centre. More experienced skiers can enjoy longer reds towards Champagny-en-Vanoise, while those wanting to explore further can take the double-decker cable car over to Les Arcs for even more terrain.

The resort is made up of several linked villages, each with its own character. Plagne Centre is the original hub, while Plagne Soleil is the newest. Belle Plagne and Plagne 1800 are among the prettiest options, Plagne Villages sits right in the heart of the ski area, and Plagne Aime 2000 offers a quieter, family-friendly base. All villages provide a mix of accommodation, restaurants and easy access to the pistes.

Off the slopes, La Plagne offers plenty of unique experiences. You can race down France’s only Olympic bobsleigh track, take a ziplining adventure across the mountains, or visit the Bellecôte glacier’s ice grotto filled with intricate sculptures carved from snow and ice. For a more relaxed alternative with the same access to the Paradiski area, the nearby village of Montalbert offers a smaller, laid-back atmosphere while still connecting directly into the ski network.
