Chalet Woodpecker is ideally tucked on Avenue de l'Eclose, just a few minutes' walk from the Alpe Express and Telecentre lifts. The buzzing centre of Alpe d'Huez is less than five minutes away, with après bars, shops, and restaurants right on your doorstep.

You're just a short stroll to both the Alpe Express and Telecentre lifts, connecting you to the Bergers and Grand Rousse sectors in minutes. Ski back close to the chalet when conditions allow. With ski hire shops, the ski school meeting points, lively après spots, and bakeries nearby, everything you need is within easy reach.

For 5 mornings of your holiday there’s a classic full cooked breakfast available with continental breakfast available 7 mornings

A tasty home baked cake will be served for afternoon tea with a selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate for 6 days.

A 3-course set menu will be cooked and served by your chalet hosts on 5 evenings of your holiday comprising of a starter, main course and dessert. One evening per week, you will be treated to a Two-course Alpine speciality

Wine is served with dinner, plus tea and coffee will be available after your meal.

On Christmas Day and New Year's Eve, a special celebration menu is prepared.

Staff night off is once a week when there is no afternoon tea or dinner, so on this day you can explore the local restaurants in Alpe d'Huez. Breakfast on this day will be a continental breakfast.

About Alpe d'Huez

Alpe d’Huez is a high-altitude, south-facing resort famous for its reliable snow and exceptional sunshine, earning it the nickname the “Island in the Sun” with over 300 bluebird days each year. Its 250km ski area is highly varied, offering beginner-friendly learning zones and well-linked easy runs, long scenic blues around the main bowl, and more challenging terrain higher up on the glacier, including the legendary 16km Sarenne – the world’s longest black run.

The resort is spread across several distinct areas, each with its own character.
