Overview
Description
The spacious open-plan sitting-dining room and kitchen are high and bright, beautifully built from old wood and granite.
The three bedrooms are on the cosy side, as they tend to be in the newest buildings and best positions in Val d'Isère, but beautifully finished and big enough for larger-than-average twin beds, any of which can be fitted together to make six-foot doubles. The master bedroom, next to the dining area, has high ceilings, large sliding windows to the balcony and an en-suite shower-room. Upstairs are two more bedrooms, one on each side of the very smart shower-room and loo. They are tucked under the eaves, with large Velux windows. The normal problem with rooflights - that light sleepers are woken early as spring approaches - will probably be resolved by about twenty feet of snow. They are lovely rooms but because they share a bathroom there is a discount of £50 per person per week from the list price.
Chalet Bozzetto sells like gâteaux chauds because of its superb position and serious degree of comfort combined with its reasonable prices (because it has two shower-rooms and two wcs, not three). And why Chalet Bozzetto? Because its owner, Mathieu Bozzetto, won a medal in the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.

About Val d'Isère
Val d'Isère is one of Europe's top ski resorts for intermediate and advanced skiers. Shared with neighbouring Tignes, the 300km ski area is packed with long blue and red runs, challenging mogul fields and extensive off-piste terrain where experienced skiers can put their skills to the test. Beginners and less confident skiers can build their confidence on the gentle green slopes or head over to Tignes for a wider choice of easy blue runs. With most of the skiing above 2,300m, excellent snow conditions are usually a safe bet throughout the season.
The resort has a well-earned reputation for style and sophistication, with accommodation ranging from charming traditional hotels and apartments to luxurious four and five-star properties complete with premium facilities. The dining scene is just as impressive, offering everything from hearty Savoyard specialities and gourmet cuisine to relaxed cafés serving all-day breakfasts. Food lovers shouldn't miss the Michelin-starred La Table de l'Ours for an unforgettable dining experience.
When the lifts close, Val d'Isère's lively après-ski scene comes to life. Start the celebrations at La Folie Douce with live music and energetic performances before heading to Cocorico at the foot of the slopes. Round off the evening with DJs and dancing at Petit Danois. If you'd rather swap après for adventure, there's plenty to choose from, including tubing, fat biking and even ice climbing, where you can tackle a frozen waterfall equipped with crampons and ice axes.
