Overview
Flaine is a convenient, family-friendly resort with excellent skiing for beginners and intermediates. Learners can build confidence on the free nursery slopes before progressing to long green and blue runs, including the 14km Cascades piste. More experienced skiers can explore wide reds, scenic tree-lined trails and a varied network of runs that make it easy to meet up across the mountain.
The resort is split between Flaine Forum and Flaine Forêt, linked by funiculars, and combines distinctive Brutalist architecture with modern wood-and-stone apartments. Away from the slopes, you can enjoy ice karting, bowling and impressive outdoor sculptures by artists including Picasso and Dubuffet.
