About Folgarida
To the east of Trento there are lots of small ski areas, of which Folgarida is the biggest. Pretty much unknown outside of Italy, Folgarida and lift-linked Costa have over 60km of runs, and like all the other ski areas, mostly cater for beginners and lower intermediates. There is nothing for the better skier apart from any off-piste you happen to find. The lift system is also in need up improvement as most are slow and old. In essence, Folgarida better suits younger families for skiing and off-snow stuff.
The village has some good eateries and generally quiet nightlife based around the resort's bars. For boarders, as with skiers, this is a place to learn and not much else. Folgarida is only 90 minutes from Verona airport, but you might want to hire a car to tour round the local ski areas.
