About Söll
Söll is part of the vast SkiWelt area, offering 288km of linked slopes and some of the biggest skiing in Austria. It’s a great choice for those with a bit of experience, with wide blue and red runs that let you cover plenty of ground across surrounding resorts like Scheffau and Ellmau. Beginners can get started in the Hexenwiese learning area before venturing further into the ski network.
The village itself is traditional and full of charm, with timber-framed buildings and an onion-domed church at its centre. Accommodation is mainly small, family-run hotels and guesthouses that have often been passed down through generations, adding to its authentic feel. When it comes to après-ski, things get lively – enjoy a glühwein or head to popular spots like The Mill for live music before heading back for a relaxed evening.
Away from skiing, there are plenty of ways to explore the mountains. Try paragliding from the Hohe Salve, the highest point in the ski area at 1,829m, or join a guided snowshoe hike running several times a week. For more information, the local tourist office in Söll can help you get started.
