About Fernie Alpine Resort
Fernie is a dream destination for advanced skiers, with some of the most impressive terrain in the Canadian Rockies. From the resort's highest lifts, you can enjoy descents of more than 1,000 metres – the longest vertical runs in the Rockies – weaving through wide-open powder bowls, perfectly spaced glades and breathtaking alpine scenery. If you're after a gentler pace, the tree-lined green and blue runs above the village offer relaxed cruising with stunning mountain views.
The slopeside village makes it easy to ski straight back to your hotel or condo before heading out to explore. Rustic, log-cabin-style buildings create a welcoming mountain atmosphere, while the village's laid-back vibe is reflected in its cosy pubs, local restaurants and casual après scene. Whether you're craving Asian cuisine or Canadian favourites like ribs and wings, there's plenty to choose from. For even more dining and nightlife options, Fernie town is just 7km away, with a convenient shuttle service connecting the two.
Looking to add something different to your holiday? Experience the thrill of snowcat skiing, where a specially adapted snowcat transports you to untouched terrain far from the crowds. Or, if you'd prefer a slower-paced adventure, explore the peaceful forests on a guided snowshoe hike. Off the slopes, you can also put your skills to the test on the climbing wall at the Fernie Fitness Centre.
