Risoul, Domaine de la Foret Blanche

Risoul shares the 185km Forêt Blanche ski area with neighbouring Vars, giving you plenty of varied terrain to explore. Well-linked lifts make it easy to ski between the two resorts, with tree-lined runs through snowy larch forests and wide-open slopes offering panoramic views across the Guil Valley. The area is particularly popular with beginners and intermediates thanks to its abundance of blue and red runs, while more experienced skiers will also find plenty to test their skills.

Purpose-built with skiers in mind, Risoul has lots of accommodation close to the lifts, making it easy to get straight onto the slopes each morning. The compact village is simple to get around, making it a great choice for families, and restaurants and bars sit conveniently at the foot of the pistes. Après-ski is relaxed, with the focus on cosy mountain restaurants, although there are a few lively bars if you're after an evening out.

Away from the slopes, there are plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. Thrill-seekers can tackle the zipline or toboggan run, while those after something more relaxing can enjoy the Skiseo leisure centre or unwind at the Pause Ô Spa. Ice skating, dog sledding and other classic winter activities round off the resort's family-friendly appeal.
