Hotel Les Balcons is a charming slopeside hotel just metres from the centre of Belle Plagne, a picturesque resort known for its wooden buildings, cosy bars and direct access to the vast Paradiski ski area. Guests can simply step outside, clip into their skis and set off to explore the slopes.

The hotel has a traditional Savoyard feel, with stone walls, timber balconies and interiors decorated with vintage ski equipment and historic photographs. After a day on the mountain, the welcoming lounge offers comfortable sofas, armchairs and a roaring open fireplace, creating the perfect spot to unwind.

For those looking to relax, the wellness area located 50 metres from the hotel features a swimming pool, sauna and massage treatments, ideal for soothing tired muscles after skiing.

About La Plagne

La Plagne is a superb choice for families and anyone looking to build confidence on the slopes, with access to 425km of varied skiing in the Paradiski area. Beginners can progress from gentle nursery slopes to wide, scenic blue runs, including those from Grande Rochette back to Plagne Centre. More experienced skiers can enjoy longer reds towards Champagny-en-Vanoise, while those wanting to explore further can take the double-decker cable car over to Les Arcs for even more terrain.

The resort is made up of several linked villages, each with its own character. Plagne Centre is the original hub, while Plagne Soleil is the newest. Belle Plagne and Plagne 1800 are among the prettiest options, Plagne Villages sits right in the heart of the ski area, and Plagne Aime 2000 offers a quieter, family-friendly base. All villages provide a mix of accommodation, restaurants and easy access to the pistes.

Off the slopes, La Plagne offers plenty of unique experiences. You can race down France’s only Olympic bobsleigh track, take a ziplining adventure across the mountains, or visit the Bellecôte glacier’s ice grotto filled with intricate sculptures carved from snow and ice. For a more relaxed alternative with the same access to the Paradiski area, the nearby village of Montalbert offers a smaller, laid-back atmosphere while still connecting directly into the ski network.
