Snow Overview - Switzerland (snow news updated 04-Dec-2013)
It was a largely warm and sunny weekend in Switzerland as well. On Monday 2nd December there was windier weather at some resorts which caused disrupted lift operation in some places.
Saas Fee (28/285cm) was one of these, with only four lifts running on Monday. This should increase if the wind dies down though as aside from that the weather is lovely and sunny.
It’s a similar story at Zermatt (20/185cm), although they have far more skiing on offer than Saas Fee. 37 lifts were running on Monday with the links over into Cervinia, Italy, also open.
European Weather Outlook
A very dry and sunny week is expected for the majority of European resorts, with no fresh snow expected for the majority of Austria, France, Switzerland and Italy.
Temperatures will be mild for the time of year too with freezing levels around 2600m for much of the week.
