If friends or family want to join you on your ski holiday but don't want to join you on the slopes then choose a resort that has plenty of activities off the slopes. Plenty of good shopping, walks and other activities like swimming, snow-shoeing, husky rides or snow-mobiling will keep them busy.

 Are mountain restaurants for lunch stops easily accessable?.

 Does the resort have museums to be visited and/or sights to be seen?

 Are there any fitness activities other than skiing and boarding in the resort (e.g. swimming pool, sauna, walks, ice rink) ?
