For a resort with as many chalets as Verbier, there are surprisingly few available as catered chalet packages to the UK market. What is available is generally either very smart, or fairly basic. The Swiss who own in Verbier tend to hang on to properties for their own use, and who can blame them! If it is traditional, picture perfect chalets you are looking for, Verbier will not disappoint and aesthetically speaking under a covering of pristine powder snow there are few prettier resorts in which to take a chalet holiday. Most of the catered chalets are located in the Medran area of town, a short walk from the Place Centrale and usually a brisk hike to the lifts. In addition to catered chalets, there are now a couple of good quality chalet-hotels offering excellent value for money.
