La Plagne is
dominated by apartments and catered chalets, with relatively few hotels. The chalet beds are generally in the mid-range standard and centred on the village of Plagne 1800, though there are
some nice options in Belle Plagne. Despite the purpose-built nature of the resort, the majority of the chalets available in La Plagne are
freestanding and of a traditional design. There are some apartment-style chalets,
most notably a new luxury development by Snowline in Plagne Centre, where seven beautifully appointed catered apartments sleeping between 6 and 12 people opens for business in December 2009.
