A world famous ski area with challenging off-piste
Situated in the Mont Blanc Valley, the world famous ski resort and town of Chamonix
is an excellent base for strong skiers looking for a ski holiday with steep pistes and challenging off-piste opportunities. The resort has a number of ski areas linked by buses but the most talked about ski run in Chamonix is the Vallée Blanche - a 22 kilometre glacial descent down from the the Aguile du Midi to the town - a guide must be taken!
Off the slopes, the town offers plenty of lively apres-ski and there are many good restaurants.
