Ski Holidays in Sestriere, Italy

Skiing Holidays in Sestriere

A ski holiday in Sestriere is probably the best way to explore the Milky Way. Sestriere was the first purpose-built village in the Alps and is therefore not overly attractive. The surrounding landscape is, however, stunning. Sestriere ski holidays do provide good facilities; Sestriere hosted the 1997 World Championships and ran many of the races at the 2006 Turin Olympic Games.
Sestriere Ski Holidays: The Skiing
Because it's at high altitude, Sestriere ski holidays offer top-class snow, supported by widespread snowmaking. All levels of skier should find themselves well catered for on Sestriere ski holidays. There is steep terrain and off-piste for advanced skiers, plenty of motorway runs for intermediates and good facilities for beginners. The lift system is also continually improving, only getting busy at weekends and on major holidays.

Sestriere Ski Holidays: Off the Snow

Sestriere does have everything you need off-snow: plenty for non-skiers to do, a wide variety of restaurants and lively nightlife at the weekends, which caters to the Italian weekenders up from Turin and Milan.
