Skiing Holidays in La Rosiere

La Rosière is a great choice for a familiy ski holiday as there are plenty of wide open pistes, few crowds, good ski schools and enough slope-side accommodation. The resort is right on the French border with Italy, on the Petit St Bernard pass (used, it is said, by Hannibal en-route from Spain to Rome) and is linked with the Italian resort of La Thuile. The two resorts, although unlikely stable mates, form a substantial ski area and a ski holiday in La Rosiere offers plenty for beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers, along with a good snow record and a big helping of sunshine.
La Rosière Ski Holidays: The Skiing
Beginners and Intermediates wouldn't go far wrong taking a ski holiday in La Rosière with its long wide runs and sunny skies. For the advanced skier, La Rosière also provides a useful gateway to some exciting helicopter skiing across the border, enabling French heli-skiers (who are banned from practising the sport in their own country) to heli-ski in Italy to their hearts' content, before returning to France's Tarentaise Valley. The combined area has 33 lifts and 135km of pistes.

La Rosière Ski Holidays: Off the Snow
A ski holiday in La Rosière will leave you awash with alpine charm, the purpose built hotels, chalets and apartments having been constructed with traditional materials staying true to local style. Après ski in La Rosière is a relaxed affair, with a few welcoming bars and plenty of restaurants to chose from.
