Avoriaz ski holidays are heaven for snowboarders, being the first European resort to embrace the sport. There is a specialist park, a half-pipe, a slalom course and extensive off-piste. Additionally, there is a giant "ecological park" (loads of natural modules set off-piste between the trees) called the Stash. More advanced skiers also like to take advantage of these, along with some great black pistes. The most infamous of Avoriaz's more challenging runs is 'The Wall', which plunges you down into Switzerland and should only be tried by those with plenty of challenging skiing under their belts. Beginners and intermediates will not be left out in the cold on an Avoriaz ski holiday, as there is many a wide motorway piste across the whole network.
Avoriaz ski holidays don't end when the lifts close. When evening comes there are a plethora of restaurants (some very good, but pricey) and some excellent nightlife to keep you amused.
