If you are travelling to resort independently, and you need quick and easy transportation to your ski resort, then the best bet is to pre-book car hire from your arrival airport. All the main ski airports have car hire, which these days is very affordable, especially if you are with a small group of friends or family. Note: It is always cheaper to pre-book car hire as early as possible.

​Ensure you are covered adequately with the correct insurance; make sure that the car comes with snow tyres or snow-chains (a legal requirement in many of the higher mountain resorts and in certain countries in the winter season) and don't forget your driving license!
