Alta Pusteria Valley
The tourists love this valley, with great grasslands and woods dominated by imposing peaks, above all for the opposition of the rustic-folk side and the mountain sporting one. The five villages of Alta Pusteria, Sesto, San Candido, Dobbiaco, Villabassa and Braies, have many good hotels.

The Tre Scarperi
Near the valley of Sesto and the Fiscalina Valley, this exhilarating triple turret formation with its lovely ash-coloured rock. One of the six groups which make up the Sesto massif it offers some of the most enjoyable excursions in the Dolomites.

Alta Pusteria Villages
 Dobbiaco
In Alta Pusteria Valley, Dobbiaco (1243 m. altitude) is the dividing point between the alpine-Italian and the Austro-Italian sides, and in the nearby meadows, not far from the Rienza which flows towards Bressanone, in the source of the Drava River.

 Sesto and the Fiscalina Valley
Sesto (1316 m.) lies in a beautiful vale of grassland and woods dominated by imposing peaks. Sesto Pusteria, the doorway to the great mountain system which bears the same name, is an important centre for hikers and mountain ramblers.

 Lake of Braies
Near Villabassa in Pusteria, a road branching off from the state road leads for about 15 kilometres to the romantic little Lake of Braies (altitude 1500 m.), passing under the overhanging mass of the Croda Rossa.

Beautiful Dolomites

Alta Pusteria Valley in Winter
The peaks of the "Tre Cime", the Sesto and Braies Dolomites make up the imposing scenery found in Alta Pusteria. The skiing areas extend around the 5 main villages of Sesto, San Candido, Dobbiaco, Villabassa and Braies.

There are hardly ever queues for lifts, no crowds on the slopes, gentle slopes for families and also downhills and ski touring for the professionals. Those of you who love cross country skiing have 200 km of routes - really a true paradise for fans.

The Lavaredo Tops: Big Peak
Of the Dolomite groups which together form what is called the Dolomites of Sesto (i.e. the groups of Rondoi-Baranci, Tre Scarperi, Croda dei Toni, Popera, Paterno, and the Tre Cime di Lavaredo), the Lavaredo group is the group "par excellence"; the most noted alpinists find of its three majestic and mighty peaks, the source of greatest challenge and satisfaction. Isolated from the surrounding groups, the Three Peaks are the symbol of the Dolomites world, the petrified spirit of height, winds and snow.
