Eider has been working since 1962 to combine innovation, textile knowledge and passion for
mountain sports into

Following in the footsteps of its founder, a tailor who started out making down jackets for local climbers and mountaineers,
Eider invents, designs, patterns and finally creates all the clothing in its workshop in Annecy.
They manage everything from the research and development stages and work closely with their sponsored athletes, technical advisors, clients and fabric providers to ensure they push the boundaries of innovation year after year.
Eider’s mission is to give anyone who enjoys being outdoors in the mountains, especially skiers, clothing systems that are versatile, efficient, beautifully styled and offer the best in all weather proof protection.
Eider’s own waterproof membrane, Defender, is used throughout the ski wear collection, (Gore-Tex is available in some styles too) and in nearly all of its applications it delivers up to a market leading 20,000mm waterproof rating and breathability of 20,000g/m2/24h.
All jacket styles are insulated, using Primaloft (at the top of the range) and come with adjustable, removable helmet compatible hoods and laser cut with welded details for a super sharp lightweight look. The Lycra cuffs with thumb loops fit into every sleeve and the jackets have grippy, removable (on some models) snow skirts. There are also plenty of pockets for keeping your mountain essentials safe.
All pants are warm, lightweight and braces are removable. All are fully seam sealed and waterproof using the Defender membrane. Cut is, as you would expect from a company started by a tailor, among the best on the market.
The
Eider range delivers sharp Alpine ski styles like Virgo, Cetus and Antlia jackets for men and Killington, Shaina and Seiya for women as well as more urban inspired pieces like the Colt for men and the Katana for women both in stretch woven fabrics that feel great.
