Heli Skiing in Alaska

Valdez Heli Ski Guides offer some of the most exciting heliskiing and boarding in the world. Aimed at strong and experienced skiers and riders, the groups are small, the mountains are big, and the descents just go on and on.

Guests stay at the Valdez Harbour Inn which offers spacious and comfortable rooms, wireless internet access and great views of the Chugach Mountains and/or Prince William Sound.

After an incredible day heli skiing, groups gather at the Alaska Bistro adjacent to the Harbour Inn, to enjoy great fresh seafood and swap stories of the day’s adventures.

Individual Heli Ski Packages All individual ski week packages start from a Saturday with arrival in the afternoon, conclude the following Saturday afternoon and include:

Alaska’s Chugach Mountains are world renowned and the playground for many of the world’s top extreme skiers, including Valdez Heli Ski Guides founder, Doug Coombs. The skiable terrain accessed by VHSG covers over 2500 square miles assuring great skiing and riding. The unique maritime climate provides over 1000 inches of snow annually, and the stable composition of the snow allows safe skiing on some of the steepest terrain and deepest powder in North America.
