The Schnalstal glacier has the advantage of featuring both vast extensions and varied landscapes. The wide, perfectly prepared "Grawand"-run is tailor-made for carving, for instance. Those looking for a challange will find plenty of rugged runs with bumps and steep slopes around the "Hintereis" chair-lift. Currently Telemark-skiing is experiencing an unprecedented revival and the constantly increasing number of Telemark-skiers in their nostalgic look most certainly won't go unnoticed when sloping down the runs near the "Finail"-lifts right by the entrance to the ski-route into the Finailtal.
Many national skiing-teams take advantage of the varied conditions on the glacier and come here on a regular base for their training making use of the runs that extend over 22 miles and the twelfe ski-lifts, which make sure that they get back to the top almost as quickly as they've come down. Furthermore, snow-making guarantees perfect snow conditions all the way through the skiing-season.
