Why should I book with ifyouski?

Our booking agents are all skiing experts and through their wealth of knowledge and experience they can find you exactly the holiday you want and at the best available price. As independent agents, they have the luxury of being able to sell you the holiday you want rather than the holiday they need to sell and the service is free. Our agents are also ABTA and ATOL bonded which means that you will be able to book with us with confidence.

When should I book my next ski holiday?

People wishing to travel over the peak-dates (Christmas, New Year, Half-Term and Easter holidays) should start looking in the springtime to guarantee the largest choice and therefore maximise their chances of finding the ideal holiday. These dates get booked up well in advance of the ski season even starting. However, do not panic - even if you think you have left it a bit late please do give our sales team a ring who will do their best to find some suitable options for you.

Large groups should also look to book around the summer time for the widest choice as large chalets are quite scarce and the most popular do get booked quite quickly.

How do I go about booking my holiday?

Please contact our sales team who will confirm the availability and total price of your holiday and take your details and payment over the telephone. There is no charge for debit cards but credit cards do carry a 2.5% surcharge. The confirmation will then be emailed to you within 24 hours and you will receive your travel documents 2 weeks before departure.

What's included in the price?

Chalets
For chalet holidays unless otherwise stated, return flights and airport taxes, transfers, accommodation for 7 nights, with half board for 6 nights (so the chalet staff can have a day off) including wine and afternoon tea are all included.

Ski/Board rental, lift passes, lunch, insurance are not included.

Hotels
For Hotel holidays unless otherwise stated, return flights, airport taxes, transfers and accommodation for 7 nights are included.

Our sales team will confirm with you the board basis i.e. Bed & Breakfast, Half Board or Full Board.

Are there any hidden extras?

The price shown on the site is the basic adult price. There may be certain supplements such as the following:

  • Certain rooms carry supplements which are indicated on the site.
  • The price is based on a London Gatwick flight. Regional flights do carry supplements which vary from £5pp to £75pp. The prices are indicated on the site.
  • A few tour operators charge airport tax, resort tax, ski carriage or a fuel surcharge. They may also charge for a special diet. This is usually a small amount and ranges from £5pp to £20pp.

Please contact our sales team for an accurate quote.

    What discounts can I expect?
  • We offer generous group discounts off the basic holiday cost. This is usually offered as 'free places'
  • Children will travel at a reduced price on most dates.
  • Various rooms carry discounts.
Discounts vary substantially according to travel dates and the ages of children. Please contact out sales team for an accurate quote.

What are the difference between the train options?

Direct Overnight Eurostar - departs from St Pancras or Ashford International on Friday evening and will get you to resort very early on Saturday morning for 8 days of skiing. Please note that couchettes are not available on this service and you will be allocated a seat. First and Standard class available.

Direct Daytime Eurostar - departs from Waterloo or Ashford on Saturday morning and gets you to resort in the early evening. Again, First and Standard class are available.

    What happens after I book?

Confirmation of your booking will be emailed to you within 24 hours from our agents. You will sometimes be sent the tour operator's booking form which you will have to complete and return. A Confirmation Invoice including a statement with the date that the balance is due will then be sent to you. You will then receive your travel documents 2 weeks before departure.

If you booked within 8-10 weeks of departure then full payment will have already been taken.

If you booked at the last minute (within 1 week) you may have to collect your tickets at the airport. There is sometimes a charge for this.

What do the star ratings mean?

    Chalet Star Ratings
The star ratings are our guide to the level of the accommodation and service. They are intended to provide a comparison for properties in different resorts and belonging to different tour operators and are as follows:

One star rating Budget - perhaps not the best location and a low ratio of baths to beds
One star ratingOne star rating Simple - with better ratio of baths to beds and higher level of service
One star ratingOne star ratingOne star rating Comfortable - mid range and good level of service
One star ratingOne star ratingOne star ratingOne star rating Very comfortable - with high level of service - high ratio of baths to beds
One star ratingOne star ratingOne star ratingOne star ratingOne star rating Luxury - the ultimate in both accommodation and service

One star rating Where a half star is used this means that the chalet has something extra special within its grade. This may be the luxury of a private sauna or hot-tub for example, a particularly conevient location, sensational views, or just that indefinable 'j- ne-sais-quoi' which has made the chalet a favourite.

We cannot be held responsible for the exact quality of the chalets. Star ratings are an indication only and in no way compare to standard hotel ratings.

    Hotel Star Ratings
The star ratings given for hotels on the website are the tour operators' own grading. They do not necessarily reflect the official national star rating of each hotel.

Are the prices I see on the site up-to-date?

We make every effort to ensure that all information on ifyouski is correct and up-to-date. However all prices, discounts, property descriptions, star ratings and other holiday related information should be considered indicative until confirmed by our agents (Ski Solutions).

If we are notified of any errors or omissions on the site we will do our best to correct them as soon as is feasibly possible.

Are transfers included in the price?

Transfers by coach from the airport to the resort and back are usually included in the price of a chalet or hotel holidays unless stated.

    Can I pre-book ski-packs?

This covers lift passes, ski equipment hire and lessons. You can only pre-book ski packs through certain tour operators. To see if it is possible to do this with your choice of holiday package please contact our sales team. If the company operating your chosen holiday does not offer this option there will be a service provided on the transfer coach when the representatives will take ski-pack bookings. You can pay by cash or credit card (there may be a small surcharge for cards) and they will deliver your passes to your accommodation and organise lessons and a suitable time slot for you to visit the nearest ski-hire shop to minimise the waiting time. Some tour operators even offer in-chalet ski and boot fittings.

Alternatively you can pre-book many of your ski extras on ifyouski. Simply Click HERE >>
