Hotel Le Val Chaviere

Features

  • Terrace/Balcony

Run by the charming Garcin family, the Val Chavière is one of our most popular hotels, offering a very warm welcome and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. In a superb ski-in/out location on the piste, and with tremendous views of the mountains, the hotel is deservedly popular with our guests and is excellent value. In particular, the quality and quantity of the (non-vegetarian) food served is often singled out for praise.

Meals: Buffet breakfast and excellent five course dinner. However, the hotel is not an especially good choice for those with vegetarian dietary requirements (please contact us for alternative recommendations).

Val Thorens Resort Info

Val Thorens skiing

At 2300m, Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe, meaning the resort has a great snow record, but can be vulnerable to bad weather with freezing temperatures and possible whiteouts. Forming part of the Three Valleys domain, Val Thorens' extended skiing is excellent, with intermediates being particularly spoilt for choice. Advanced skiers also have plenty to play on with big moguls and access to the Maurienne Valley for off-piste adventures. In addition theres an excellent Snowpark to keep freestylers busy. Beginners too can enjoy Val Thorens with several gentle greens and easy blues scattered around the resort.

Val Thorens ski resort

As the resort is traffic-free and purpose-built, most accommodation options offer ski-in-ski-out accessibility. However, après-ski is quite limited, while the list of non-skiing activities is a little short. Overall, Val Thorens is a resort for people who come on their ski holiday to ski and want the guarantee of snow.
