Chalet Thomily
Features
Thomily is quite unique. How many chalets have their front door at
the top, their bedrooms below their sitting room, and a dining room you can ski ... into, if you haven't yet mastered stopping?
The top-floor
sitting room is roomy and high, with huge windows and a wraparound
balcony giving wraparound views of Bellevarde and the Charvet. When the
sun goes down, there are DVDs and WiFi.
On the next level
down are the five excellent bedrooms, with their rather opulent marble
bathrooms. Three bedrooms have balconies with the views, while two
offer extra beds for half-price children or relatives, subject to
flight seats.
The lowest floor is where the amazing dining
room is. If you are the keen sort who’s on the first and last lifts,
you’ll miss the slightly surreal experience of waving your toast at
skiers just a few feet away. By the end of the week, you’ll probably
decide that starting later is more civilised.
Next to
the dining room are the kitchen, where one of our top chefs will be
getting hot and stressed, and a sauna for you to get hot and
de-stressed.

Val d'Isère Resort Info
Val d'isère skiing
Val d'isère is justifiably ranked up there with the best resorts in the world. Lift linked with Tignes with which Val d'isère makes up L'Espace Killy, there are 300km of varied pistes to please everyone from beginners to pros. Expert skiers and snowboarders are particularly spoilt for choice in Val d'isère with the 1992 Olympic course, the 'Face', plenty of off-piste (remember to take a guide) and a world class snow park.
Val d'isère ski resort
Val d'isère has not only world class skiing but also boasts some world class après ski. The Folie Douce at the top of la Daille gondola is probably the most famous of Val d'isère's après haunts but is far from the only one. Restaurants on and off the mountain are pricey but good, which added to a good range of accommodation and lot's to do for the non-skiers makes it easy to see Val d'isère's attraction .
