Location
This cosy Alpine hotel has plenty of charm and a great location that
ensures both the slopes and the shops are within easy reach. Just a step
outside the Chalet Hotel Aiguille Percée, and you will be greeted by
gorgeous views of the Lac de Tignes and the Grand Motte glacier. It’s
only a 100 metre walk to the main gondola which will whisk you up to the
vast Espace Killy ski area or just around the corner, you’ll find
yourself in the main square where the ski schools meet up. It couldn’t
be better!
Rooms
Chalet Hotel Aiguille Percée has undergone an extensive
refurbishment. With the addition of 13 new bedrooms including
interconnecting and family suites as well as the upgrade of the original
guest rooms all of which now have a modern rustic feel, the majority
with brand new bathrooms and TVs with 20 British channels.
The bedrooms all have ensuite facilities and some have their own
terrace. Room facilities include; TV, free WiFi, hairdryer and
complimentary toiletries. A s
afety deposit box is also available at reception.
Facilities
What better way to relax after a hard day on the slopes
than with a relaxing massage or facial. The Viva therapy room is run by
highly qualified Beauty Therapists providing luxury treatments using our
fabulous skincare brand Elemis.
Guests are welcome to use the new indoor swimming pool, steam room and sauna.
Meals
Offered on a catered chalet basis, your holiday will include a cooked
and continental breakfast, afternoon tea/coffee and cakes, and freshly prepared 3
course dinner accompanied by a choice of complimentary,
quality wines followed by coffee.
The traditional Savoie style flows through to the restaurant and bar.
Small and large group tables are available and guarantee a lively, fun
atmosphere.
A high tea is available for children 12 years and under.
One evening a week dinner is not served in the chalet hotel allowing
you the opportunity to dine out at one of the excellent local
restaurants.

Tignes skiing
Lift linked to Illustrious neighbour Val d'Isère to make up the Espace Killy, the Tignes ski area is, needless to say, vast and varied. The 300km of marked pistes cater for all levels and tastes with great off-piste, long wide blues and two snowparks (with another, even better one, over in Val d'Isère). Tignes also has the Grande Motte glacier providing year-round skiing. The glacier and Tignes' high altitude, make this resort for a great early or late season ski holiday destination. The whole area is serviced very well by an efficient lift system and the five 'satellites' that make up the resort are all linked by free bus.
Tignes ski resort
Due to its 1960s heritage, Tignes is not exactly famous for its Alpine charm. However, off-snow activities have improved somewhat over the last few years. There are a nice range of decent restaurants and bars whilst there are supermarkets for the largely self-catering crowd. Nightlife and après ski is pretty healthy and families are greatly welcomed with good childcare run by the ski schools. Overall, Tignes is not a place that relies upon Alpine ambience. But hey, who cares when the days are filled with such great skiing.
