Chalet 2100A
Features
Chalet 2100A remains a popular choice with keen skiers and
boarders. It combines a good ratio of bathrooms to bedrooms with very easy
access to the skiing. Ideal for small chalet parties, Chalet 2100A is situated
on the ground floor of an apartment building with its own front door. This
comfortable chalet has an open-plan living/dining/kitchen area with plenty
of seating, a TV and a fireplace. A shower room is located between rooms 3
and 4 each having a lockable door into the shower room. NB. room 3 double
is 20cm smaller than the French norm.
Ground Floor:
Room 1 = twin with bath and WC
Room 2 = twin with shower
Room 3 = small double (no window)
Room 4 = double
- shower room with WC (only rooms 3 & 4 have access via dual lockable
doors)

Supplements and discounts per person per night:

Chalet staff live out.
Location: Tignes Le Lavachet. In normal snow conditions you can ski back
to within 200 metres of this comfortable chalet apartment. It is also only 200
metres from the free 24-hour ski bus. Alternatively, skiers can usually put
their skis on within 250 metres and ski down to the Paquis and Chaudannes
Lifts, which access the Tovière Mountain and Aiguille Percée areas
respectively.

Lift linked to Illustrious neighbour Val d'Isère to make up the Espace Killy, the Tignes ski area is, needless to say, vast and varied. The 300km of marked pistes cater for all levels and tastes with great off-piste, long wide blues and two snowparks (with another, even better one, over in Val d'Isère). Tignes also has the Grande Motte glacier providing year-round skiing. The glacier and Tignes' high altitude, make this resort for a great early or late season ski holiday destination. The whole area is serviced very well by an efficient lift system and the five 'satellites' that make up the resort are all linked by free bus.

Due to its 1960s heritage, Tignes is not exactly famous for its Alpine charm. However, off-snow activities have improved somewhat over the last few years. There are a nice range of decent restaurants and bars whilst there are supermarkets for the largely self-catering crowd. Nightlife and après ski is pretty healthy and families are greatly welcomed with good childcare run by the ski schools. Overall, Tignes is not a place that relies upon Alpine ambience. But hey, who cares when the days are filled with such great skiing.
