Les Houches , France

Les Houches is the first resort you come to as you enter the Chamonix Valley from the West. It's a pleasant French alpine village with a dozen lifts locally that give you access to some decent tree skiing.

As part of the Mont-Blanc Ski domain, you have access to 700km of slopes and the 343 official pistes that include the skiing in Chamonix, Argentiere, le Tour and, in the other direction, Megeve and St Gervais. Les Houches therefore provides an excellent base for a holiday with a mixed ability group or family.
