Chalet Johmarons had a large picture windows from the lounge looking down a slope to fabulous views of the piste. The chalets share a terrace with a jacuzzi hot-tub, where all the aches of a hard day’s skiing can be relaxed away whilst watching the last skiers wend their way home.

The interiors of the chalets are modern and stylish, with attractive use of light pine panelling throughout. The furnishings are tasteful and understated, with plenty of small touches to enhance the charming overall ambience. One of the quirkier features is bathroom doors only 1.7m high, so our taller guests will need to duck!

Les Gets Resort Info

Les Gets skiing

Les Gets is part of the massive Portes du Soleil ski area, which gives you 650km of pistes to explore if you've got a spare month or two. Despite being situated at a fairly low altitude the snow record in Les Gets is excellent. The skiing offered is particularly good for beginners and intermediates, with some off-piste opportunities and a small snowpark for the more advanced - although with the rest of the Portes du Soleil on your doorstep even the best of the best will find something to entertain.

Les Gets ski resort

Les Gets is a particularly good choice for families, with great ski school provision for the little ones and ski-to-your-door accessibility. If you are looking for banging nightlife and non-skiing activities though, Les Gets probably isn't for you. There are a couple of clubs, but not the variety of nearby Morzine and Avoriaz.
