Chalet Epilobe is in a great location being only 50m away from the
main Les Eucherts 6 seater express chairlift and ski school meeting
point, in fact its one of the closest catered chalets in the whole of La
Rosiere to the slopes. Les Eucherts has its own bustling centre with
shops, bars, restaurants, a bowling alley, ice rink and ski school. La
Rosiere centre is a short free bus ride away or a pleasant stroll along a
pretty forest track.

Breakfast - make your selection from porridge and eggs
cooked to order, French bread, preserves, flaky croissants, yoghurt,
muesli, cereals and each day a differing cooked option which includes
sausages and bacon, fluffy pancakes, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon,
all served alongside fruit juice and freshly brewed coffee or
specially imported Yorkshire tea.

Dinner - delicious, freshly prepared three course candlelit dinner. Our evening meals are
friendly and sociable so you can take your time and enjoy the food in a
dinner party atmosphere. For the duration of the meal enjoy a
choice of handpicked wines supplied by our wine merchant Le Verre
Gourmand before finishing off the evening with freshly brewed coffee
Breakfast and dinner will be served on 6 out of 7 days and a continental breakfast will be left out on one morning.

La Rosière skiing
La Rosière is lift linked with the italian resort of La Thuileand has a great snow record. The two resorts, although unlikely stablemates, form a substantial ski area with plenty of long wide runs to please intermediates. La Rosière also provides a useful gateway to some exciting heli-skiing over in Italy, enabling locals and ski holiday makers in France (where heli-skiing is banned) to heli-ski in Italy to their hearts' content (bookable through the Evolution 2 ski school), before returning to France's Tarentaise Valley. The combined area has 33 lifts and 135km of pistes.
The main draw back for those wanting to ski the Italian side is that the lift link is a long pomma lift and not suitable for beginners, young children or snowboarders not proficient in riding long pommas.
La Rosière ski resort
La Rosière, although purpose built, is a gem of quintisential alpine charm. There isn't a great deal to do off snow, although visitors are happy enough whiling away the evenings in the relaxed bars and restaurants (the Petit Danoise is popular and offers sky tv sports coverage plus internet access) The locals are friendly and the prices are cheaper than most other tarentaise resorts.

Snow Overview - France (snow news updated 04-Dec-2017)
Lots of fresh snow was falling all around the French Alps on Thursday 27th April. With a lowering freezing level and heavy snow falls continuing, many French mountain villages are looking very Christmas like. On snow conditions are generally fresh, although the lower slopes are still very spring like. Up top powder conditions are abundant, however, poor visibility and limited lift access is keeping the options restricted. The current snowy and cloudy weather will break for the weekend, presenting an excellent chance to get in one last lift access powder day for the season.
Many resorts will be closed next week, but there is still loads of fresh snow in the forecast. With a good knowledge of the avalanche problem, touring conditions will be exceptional well into next weekend.
European Weather Outlook
Across the central European Alps, snow and cold temperatures are forecast to stick around until Saturday. Accumulations of snow on the upper slopes could be huge for the time of year, with some Swiss resorts predicting around 80cm over the course of today and Friday. By the weekend the snow is predicted to subside in many regions and a mixture of sun and cloud is expected for much of Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland.
In the Pyrenees, Saturday should be the pick of the day for any skiing in Andorra. Our featured resorts are now closed for the season, but for anyone strapping on their skins, you can expect a mixture of sun and cloud, with temperatures around +3C
In Germany, 44cm of fresh snow is being forecast for Garmisch (0/380cm), who will be in disbelief at the moment for all the snow they have received of late.
Further north you can expect temperatures of around -3C and snow showers in Norway, which are set to continue right through to Sunday for resorts such Trysil. Across the border in Sweden, the weather should be fairly similar, but any snow that does fall is likely to be light and bring only 1-2cm.
Despite some recent biting temperatures and cold winds in the UK, any snow that does fall on the Scottish mountains is most likely to be on Thursday. Thereafter, rain could destroy any hopes of some late season turns.
