Chalet Coq de Bruyere
Features
La Croisette is the lively epicentre of 1850, where all the main ski-lifts start, the ski-school meets and skiers throng to the bars. The best place to stay is just out of the hurly-burly at the Coq de Bruyère! Everything the resort has to offer is close at hand, and the views are sensational. You can ski virtually to and from the doorstep - the easy Loze piste is just across the street, barely 30m away, and leads to the Plantrey chairlift, Courchevel 1550 or the Brigues red run down to Le Praz. Alternatively it's just 2 minutes' walk to the Croisette, the lively epicentre of 1850, where all the main ski-lifts start and the ski school meets.
The hotel's comfortable facilities and catering match its location. The open-plan lounge and bar area is the ideal spot for a drink before or after dinner. There is also a small separate 'snug' with a TV, providing another place to relax. At the end of the day you can ski back by the Loze piste, or come back to within a minute's walk by the gondola from Le Praz.
The attractive dining room opens off the bar, and is the setting for our skier's buffet breakfast with daily hot and cold dishes and our 'Culinary Choice' evening meals. All the bedrooms have private en suite facilities, with a choice of showers or baths and wc. Many also have a balcony with wonderful views, and most of the rooms, a mixture of doubles, twins and triples, have been recently refurbished to the comfortable standard shown in our picture. Some rooms can also be paired up to create family suites.

Courchevel 1850 Resort Info
The most expensive resort in the French Alps'? Only partially true. Sat next to Val Thorens and Méribel, Courchevel is the most easterly of the Trois Vallées (the ski maps are back to front!) It is made up of four separate parts, each with their own character.
The biggest village and arguably the jewel in Courchevel's crown, 1850 is the focal point of the resort, with a good selection of world-class hotels, restaurants and shopping. There are a good selection of less expensive accommodation options in town, especially with several British run chalet hotels. Lift access to the whole 3 Valleys area is from the centre of town, giving easy access to almost all guests.
