ChamJam is the only event where professional and amateur skiers and snowboarders
gather to compete against each other vying for that all-important entry
to the X Games.

The BoarderX and SkierX attracted skiers from as far afield as Canada,
Japan and the USA.The
Chamjam has grown over the last five years to become one of Europe's
most respected and innovative winter freesports competitions.

Alongside the freesports festival, the ChamjJam Music Festival will showcase
live acts from across Europe including respected artists and emerging
talent.

Last
year, the "Boss des Bosses" was taken home by the team from Zermatt.
Several thousand spectators watched an 18-year-old local kid beat off the
assembled professional skiers to win the Big Air title and an invitation
to the ESPN X-Games.

ChamjJam 2001 will be held in Chamonix from 5 - 9 March.
