| ChamJam, the essential winter event takes place 4 - 8 March 2002...
Snowboarding, skiing and music seamlessly melted together into five days of mountain party in the alpine mecca of Chamonix, France. Now in its sixth year, the ChamJam has effortlessly grown into one of the most respected and innovative competitions in Europe, showcasing some of the finest talent in snow sports, set to a soundtrack of the fattest music around. Washouse films will be covering the event for broadcast on ITV. |
| The Venue | |
Chamonix is not only a place of absurd beauty, but the winter playground for the most extreme freeskiers and snowboarders around. Each year in the first week of March these residents are joined by other lovers of all things snow and people wanting to party.

| Boss de Bosses | |
ChamJam was born 11 years ago, out of an inter resort mogul competition between ski bums from Chamonix and Val D'Isere, known as the Boss des Bosses. This race is still a central feature of the much larger event and is now supported by Extreme Sports Channel and natives.co.uk. Uniquely both pros and amateurs will star along side each other in the competition, which features a world standard course for both Boarder X and Skier X and the monster Cool Water Big Air. | | |
| |
| Jib Jam & Big Air | | Starring at the event for the first time ever will also be the Jib Jam - with jaw dropping technical and freestyle manoeuvres - it is designed to bring out the best in current snowboarding and skiing. The grand final of the Cool Water Big Air on Friday 8th is the highlight of the week where thousands of people line the mountain, watching riders fly off jumps whilst listening to pumping tunes. A high quality of rider is guaranteed this year thanks to the bulging prize purse of US $10,000 provided by Cool Water.

The atmosphere is sure to be as charged as ever, but in spite of the ever increasing media attention the essence of the event remains the same with its core values intact.
This year's musical highlights include Zero 7 and Ash. 1.
