Edelweiss Valley , Canada

There are more than 40 ski areas in southern Québec, but Edelweiss Valley, almost on the border with Ontario, attracts many of its skiers from Ottawa. With skiing up to 343m (1,125ft), it has 18 trails spread across 150 acres and a vertical drop of 190m (625ft). The longest run is almost a mile. There are four chairs, including one high-speed quad. There's night skiing and a snowboard park, complete with a half-pipe.
