Chalet Zierlich

Features

  • Sleeps 6 (2 available)
  • Catered chalet

Location:
St Anton:
In a quiet cul-de-sac on the edge of the atmospheric pedestrian zone with its painted buildings, Austrian coffee shops, restaurants and bars. The main lifts, Galzig and Gampen, are only 500 metres (approx.) walk away. The ski rental shop is a 12 minute walk (approx.) away.

Formerly a family-run guest house (Haus Midland), this traditional, attractive building has been stylishly refurbished into 2 chalet apartments for the 2017/18 season. Both chalets are accessed by a shared entrance, and Chalet Zierlich has its own lift (also used by the owners who live on the top floor). This is a gem of a chalet and truly lives up to its name - zierlich means dainty. There is a lovely welcoming open-plan living/dining area and the 3 bedrooms are all en suite with 2 enjoying their own balconies. A truly homely chalet in such a central location will make Chalet Zierlich highly sought-after so early booking is recommended.

Both chalets Zierlich and Stilvoll can be taken by a group of up to 17, but each group can only dine in their individual chalets.

Chalet Layout:
Basement:
ski and boot room shared with Chalet Stilvoll

Second floor:
Open-plan living/dining area and kitchen
Room 1 = Austrian twin with shower and WC
Rooms 2 & 3 = 2 Austrian twins with shower, WC and balcony

Meals:
Start your ski day with fresh bread, a choice of preserves, cereals, porridge (on request), yoghurts, fresh fruit, fruit juice as well as tea and coffee, plus a cooked option of eggs and two other hot items. Hot items include bacon, sausages, hash browns, tomatoes, baked beans and mushrooms (or equivalent).

  • A hearty breakfast
  • On your return from the slopes
A freshly baked cake or biscuits with tea and coffee awaits you
  • In the evening
Enjoy a delicious freshly cooked 3 course meal with house wine until coffee.

Breakfast and dinner will be served on 6 out of 7 days and a continental breakfast will be left out on 1 morning.

N.B. Chalet Zierlich is being renovated for the 2017/18 season, bedroom images are similar in style.
Chalet staff live in, on the basement level.

St Anton Resort Info

Famous for its awesome skiing and equally awesome après ski, St Anton is mostly an experts' resort, with its serious off-piste, moguls and powder. St Anton's pistes tend to be undergraded, however, with first-class guiding and instruction the mountain can be enjoyed by most levels, apart, perhaps, from very beginners.

Although St Anton doesn't quite match the chocolate box reputation of other Austrian resorts, it does offer an exceptional range of après-ski, with bars and clubs galore. Restaurants can be a bit hit and miss, but as most of St Anton's visitors just want to get on with the party, a quick snack is all that's required. Off-snow activites are a little thin on the ground, although you can always jump on a train and explore Innsbruck which is only one hour away.
