Half board

The Alte Post is a beautiful hotel in the centre of resort. It is located just at the beginning of the pedestrian zone and is a mere 2-minute walk to the ski lifts. This distinguished hotel offers beautiful, individually styled bedrooms, a warm, Tirolean atmosphere and a welcoming reception.

In the evening, relax in the hotel's cosy restaurant and enjoy a 4-course meal. The hotel is renowned for its excellent cuisine - the restaurant holds a coveted "Gault Millau" award. Half board is provided with hot and cold buffet breakfast, evening meal with a choice of main course and daily salad buffet and a weekly speciality dinner.The hotel has outstanding leisure facilities, which feature an indoor pool, sauna, steam rooms, whirlpool, ice grotto and large fitness room. Massage, solarium and spa beauty treatments are also available at a local charge.

Accommodation

Twin and superior twin rooms have their own individual character with a private bath, WC, minibar, bathrobes, slippers and cable TV. Many have a balcony. Galzig suites sleep 2-3 people and are stunningly furnished open plan suites each with their own balcony, lounge area and some with 17th century "Kachelöfen" (tiled stove).

Famous for its awesome skiing and equally awesome après ski, St Anton is mostly an experts' resort, with its serious off-piste, moguls and powder. St Anton's pistes tend to be undergraded, however, with first-class guiding and instruction the mountain can be enjoyed by most levels, apart, perhaps, from very beginners.

Although St Anton doesn't quite match the chocolate box reputation of other Austrian resorts, it does offer an exceptional range of après-ski, with bars and clubs galore. Restaurants can be a bit hit and miss, but as most of St Anton's visitors just want to get on with the party, a quick snack is all that's required. Off-snow activites are a little thin on the ground, although you can always jump on a train and explore Innsbruck which is only one hour away.
