The Hotel Austria is connected by underground passageway to its sister Hotel Bellevue. These beautiful 4 star hotels are decorated in true Tirolean style and are situated in a peaceful location above the village centre. The hotels offer the same amenities and their shared spa area offers fantastic leisure facilities - the perfect place to relax at the end of a day on the slopes. Rooms may be allocated in the main hotel or the 'Residenz' building across the road, also connected by the underground garage.

Rooms for 2 people on half board sharing a small room with Austrian twin beds, private shower and WC. Standard quad rooms with private bath or shower, family suites with private bath and single rooms are also available at a supplement. Family suites, sleeping 2-4 consist of bedroom with Austrian twin plus separate living room with double sofa bed. All bedrooms have satellite TV, radio, safe and hairdryer.
Please Note smart casual dress required for dinner (no trainers or tracksuits). Bathrobes required for wellness area €5 per week.

Obergurgl is great for beginners and intermediates, which, along with good ski schools, makes for an excellent family ski holiday destination. One of the highest resorts in Austria at 1930m, Obergurgl has an excellent snow record and long season. Linked to Hochgurgl, there are over 100km of runs to enjoy. For more advanced skiers and boarders, there is often some nice off-piste to get that adrenalin pumping, although not much else…

The resort itself is pleasing to the eye and offers a sense of alpine charm. Off snow activities are a little sparse, although après ski is jovial without being too hectic. Hotels are generally of a high standard, though there is a lack of independent restaurants (they are pretty much all part of the hotels).
