Classic Off Piste - Vallée Blanche 360s

We sacrificed a magnificent day's skiing to bring you the Vallée Blanche in all it's 3D glory. Click on the images to open up each IPIX view, then use your mouse to navigate. For best effect, choose the high resolution version (bottom right button), which takes a little longer to download. Enjoy! Description of the Vallée Blanche

Starting out from the Aiguille du Midi. Make sure you swivel it round and check out the cool ice tunnel. Once you've seen the 'orrible arête awaiting you, you'll want to disappear back inside and hide!

View back up towards Aiguille du Midi and the dreaded arête. This one's a bit overexposed, but you'll get the idea.

The middle section between the Glacier du Geant and the Glacier du Tacul. Snow, sun, skiing. No complaints as long as you brought your sunblock.

Phew! Off the glacier it's a ten-minute climb up to the Refuge de Requin, where it's time for a rest and a drink - as long as you have brought some cash. Late in the season you miss this bit as you take the Montenvers train down instead.
