The Turin Olympic Games 2006   Venues Olympic Guide Holidays Venues Schedules Sestriere Sauz d'Oulx Bardonecchia HomeHome   The Turin Olympic Winter Games take place from the 10th to 26th February 2006 and you could be there! Over a period of 17 days, 84 medals will be awarded to the winners from the 2,500 athletes taking part. Athletes and officials will be housed in 3 Olympic Villages: Torino, Bardonecchia and Sestriere and there will be seven main wintersports presented: Biathlon, Bobsleigh, Curling, Ice Hockey, Luge, Skating & Skiing. The main snowsports sites will be Sestriere (Alpine), Sauze d'Oulx (Freestyle) and Bardonecchia (Snowboarding) with Cross Country being held at Pragelat and Biathlon at Cesano San Sicario. The Figure Skating will be held in in Palavela and the Bobsleigh, Skelton and Luge will be held at Cesana Pariol.
