The super-giant slalom, or Super-G, was designed to be a meeting ground for technical skiers (slalom and GS specialists) and downhillers.
The single run takes around 90 seconds. The course is set to encourage a variety of medium and long radius turns at high speed. Two jumps can be included, one of which should require a change of direction.
Clothing is as for downhill, though slightly shorter skis are used.
